Τhe Guadalquivir Bilingual Public Elementary School-Sanlucar de Barrameda,Cádiz,Spain

Τhe Guadalquivir Bilingual Public Elementary School consists of a kindergarten (3-5years) and a primary school from first to sixth grade (11 years). Thus, it covers all the grades of Primary Education and implements the official curriculum for this level.
Our school holds 476 students of Kindergarten and Elementary education, and we are 29 teachers, of which 11 are bilingual and impart their subjects in both languages, English and Spanish. Those subjects are taught in English as a second language, Natural and Social Sciences, Music and Physical Education. Τhe school is a public entity which falls within the state system of primary education. As a school the Primary School is immensely interested in the implementation of EU projects and its fields of educational activity already have a multicultural dimension due to its bilingual character.
At the Guadalquivir school we have had 8 years of experience working with various Comenius projects. Our first experience was in 2007/8 with a project called ” Journey in Time and Space” which included schools from Belgium, Greece, Estonia, UK, Poland and Netherlands. The next one was from 2010/12 and it was called “Learning to Improve: Innovative habits” and included schools from Italy and Turkey. Our latest experience has been with Comenius Regio and is called “CECI Project: Creativity at School”. Our partner was Denmark and was in progress from 2013 to 2015. Consequently, our teaching personnel and our administration is experienced to handle its participation in the specific Strategic Partnership. Specifically, the persons involved in the project would be all the English bilingual teachers, the French teacher, the headmaster, deputy head as well as the rest of the faculty who would help students in their language, Spanish.
