6th Learning Teaching Traning Activity Meeting

All partners have arrived in Bernaldaby the evening. They unofficially met at a restaurant and performed some spontaneous discussion concerning the issues of the meeting agenda.
1st part: 9:45-10:30
The partners visited the premises of the secondary school of IC Bernalda, where the school orchestra welcomed them by performing some songs. Then, the school Headmistress, MrsMarciuliano welcomed the partners on behalf of the host partner. After that, the project coordinator, MrsKostenidou officially announced the beginning of the meeting, pinpointing that the work which has been done so far by all partners is very satisfactory and the second e-learning course on Moodle was very successful, with a lot of teachers participating and exchanging good practices.
Then, the moderator performed an ice breaking activity involving all the meeting participants with the aim of getting to know each other better.

2nd part 10:55-12:10
The partners gathered in the conference room, where they presented what they have done so far in the involvement of their organization in the projectwith the aim of discussing about and deciding altogether the material that is going to be uploaded on the project website. Their presentations focused mainly on the activities they performed at schools, the training courses or info-days they had implemented, their dissemination practices, as well as their experience from their participation in the project meetings. In this first section of presentations, the partners from Latvia, Turkey, Romania and Spain presented their work so far.
Then, the coordinator’s team from Greece performed an experiential activity for the meeting participants related to the “Myth of Europe”, since the topic of the meeting was the celebration of “Europe Day”. The participants watched a video under the topic of the ancient Greek myth of Europe, from which the name of the continent of Europe was inspired. Then, they were randomly separated in four teams and each team had to prepare one task for their students based on the myth they had just seen. In order to help them they were also given in written form the story of the myth. The four tasks that the Greek team had prepared were in the form of a wordsearch, aTrue/False, a gap filling and a scrambled summary activity. So, each team had to prepare, according to the myth, one of these activities and once they had finished the other teams were given the activities to solve them. The experiential activity was very motivational for the partners and reached its aims, which were to inform them about the origin of the name “Europe” and learn ways of constructing different kinds of activities for students in the classroom based on a specific text or story (in this case the “Myth of Europe”).
Then, the teachers visited an art exhibition in the school premises organized by the Art teacher Mr Spinazzola. The artifacts included different topics and artistic techniques and were all created by the school students under the guidance of their Art teacher.Mr Spinazzola also presented an activity of artful thinking.
After that, the participants visited the Town Hall, where they had a warm discussion with the Mayor of the city MrTataranno, who welcomed the partners in the city and stressed the importance of Erasmus + projects in educational, local and personal level.
3rd part 15:40-18:30
The partners returned to the conference room, where the host partner and the participant from FuturoDigitale presented the work their organization had done so far for the implementation of the project.
Then, the host had arranged a meeting with all the teachers of the region with the participation of the representatives from the Provincial Education Authority and the Directors of the Inspectorate of Potenza and Matera. At first, the project coordinator presented the project content and layout to the audience with the aim of motivating the teaching community of the area to participate in similar projects in the future.Then both Inspectors presented the structure of the educational system and specific characteristics of the region.
1st part: 9:45-11:00
The partners visited the Primary School “Marconi”, where they were welcomed by the school choir and attended activities in the classrooms related to the topics of the project, and mainly the celebration of Europe Day.
2nd part 11:50-13:45
The partners continued to attend classroom activities at the same school and then they visited the nearby Infant School “MatineAngeliche”, where infant school pupils performed activities concerning Europe Day.
3rd part 19:00-21:00
The partners participated in a Historical parade from the Town Hall to the castle of Bernalda, with the participation of local people and historical associations of the town. They had the chance to know more about the history of the region and attend various events, such as representations of old customs, archery exhibitions and band performances. They were all very impressed by the cultural content and the organization of the event.
1st part: 9:00-10:00
The partners visited the Primary School of Metaponto and attended some activities performed by the students related to Europe Day.
Then, the moderator performed an evaluation session in which the participants had to comment on the general impact that LTTA meetings of BEHAS has had on their professional and personal skills. The vast majority of the participants claimed that through the meetings and the general project processes, they had improved their pedagogical and language skills, got accustomed to the cultural elements of the other partner countries and even created bonds of friendship with the other partners.
2nd part 10:20-18:00
The partners visited the Museum of Metaponto and then travelled to the nearby city of Matera, which is the Cultural Capital of Europe for 2019. There they had a guided tour in the most important cultural sights of the city before they returned to Bernalda in the evening. They had prepared a map with the most important monuments of the city and showed us the process of how to organize a tour guide for children in an open area.
